Jeffrey's Visit to the Doctor

Jeffrey went to the doctor today for his second check-up and he weighed in at a hefty 8 lbs. 6 oz. That's almost two pounds since his birthday! Unfortunately he had to get one little shot, which he hated. I'm really not looking forward to our next visit when he has to get four shots. Poor little guy. I'll add some more pictures after I upload them from my camera.

Jeffrey is Growing

I can't believe that Jeffrey will be four weeks old this Saturday! Time is flying by way too fast. He is doing great. He's gone from two hours to three hours between feedings, which means that Mommy and Daddy get a little more sleep at night! YAY! We will visit the pediatrician again this Friday. I'm looking forward to seeing how much he weighs. He was 7 lbs. 4 oz. last week, which means he's gained 9 oz. since his birthday! I know he still looks tiny to other people, but he looks so big to me. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks.

What a sweet face.

This is sure to be the best Christmas ever!

Sleepy time.

I wish my Mommy would put my clothes back on!

Finally..I found my thumb!!

Meme stopped by for a visit. Jeffrey is her fourth great grandchild. I hope I look this good when I'm a great grandmother!

We Survived Our First Week

We welcomed Jeffrey Kent Avery to our family on Saturday, November 3rd at 8:11 a.m. There are no words to describe how happy we are to have him in our lives. He's healthy and happy, we couldn't ask for more! Since we've been home Jeffrey has spent his days eating, sleeping and pooping...a lot! We visited Dr. Levin, his pediatrician, on Friday and he received a great report. He was back to his birth weight of 6 lbs. 11 oz. and the only problem we're dealing with is a obstructed tear duct. What a blessing that our only problem is a bit of sleepy in his eye. Speaking of sleepy, he's sleeping very well. He wakes up about every 3 hours and we're adjusting fairly well. Here are a few pictures of Jeffrey's first days at home.
