Jeffrey's First Easter

I know we're a week late, but we've had a crazy week. We had a fun few days leading up to Easter Sunday. In the first picture below Jeffrey is wearing his "bunny ears" that they made at "school" last week. He looked so funny and we will definitely bring this picture out when he starts dating! As soon as I'd taken the picture he reached up and pulled his "ears" off of his head! It was too funny.

Ben and I both had Good Friday off and we were able to spend the day as a family. The big event of the day was going to the mall for Jeffrey to have his picture made with the Easter Bunny. He did so well and actually smiled for the camera, which surprised me because the bunny frightened me a bit!

Finally, Easter morning the Easter Bunny hopped into our house and left a basket for Jeffrey. Jeffrey's basket was full of goodies including a soft bunny rabbit and a Baby Einstein DVD. The Easter Bunny even thought about Mommy and Daddy by leaving a couple of solid chocolate bunnies!! :)

I wish we had pictures of Jeffrey all dressed up for church, but that's where our day went down hill. As soon as we got him in his cute little outfit and snug into his car seat...he threw up ALL OVER the place. Needless to say the outfit immediately went into the washer and we had to change clothes quickly! We made it to church just in time to see his big cousin Adeline be baptized, which was a very special service with many family and friends. We then spent the afternoon at my Mom and Dad's. Speaking of baptisms Jeffrey will be baptized on Sunday, April 20th so we should have tons of pictures after that big day!

A Weekend of Firsts!!

Jeffrey had a BIG week last week! It all started on Monday with his first day of daycare, which went great all week long. He really seems to be adjusting nicely to "school." Then we visited the pediatrician for his 4-month check-up on Friday. The poor little guy had to get FOUR shots! Needless to say he wasn't a happy camper. However, the great news is that he's growing like a weed! He now weighs 15 lbs. 7 oz. and is 26 inches long! He's in the 75th percentile for weight and 95th for height! We're so proud of his progress!

We spent our weekend at the lake and on Saturday morning he had his first taste of rice cereal! I figured that he would spit it out at the first bite, but no, he shocked us all and swallowed the first bite then opened his mouth for more. Looks like we've got a good little eater on our hands!! After our rice cereal breakfast we went outside and played in the snow. This was actually Jeffrey's second snow, but it was the first time that we were able to go outside and take pictures. He was a tiny, sleepy baby during the last snow, so we didn't attempt to go outside then. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures of a couple of Jeffrey's "first." We sure had fun making these memories. :)

Mmmmm...rice cereal.

Really..he LOVES it! :)

Happy Birthday PawPaw!!

We had a little birthday shindig for my Dad last night. Mom cooked a delicious pork loin with roasted veggies and we had yummy cake and ice cream. Here are a few pictures from the party. Jeffrey was a bit fussy and sleepy so he sat out of this photo session. :)

Dad's cake with the cool birthday candles.

Elijah loves to help blow out the candles.

Nichole and Elijah...Needless to say he's a bit of sticker fan! :)

Jeffrey's First Day of School

Jeffrey began his first day of "school" on Monday. His teachers have given him great reports and said that he is a wonderful baby. We're so proud of him because we were a little worried that he'd been spoiled by the ladies at Mom's office. This was his cute little outfit that he wore on his first day. Notice that he's holding his pacifier. He now enjoys holding objects and putting them straight to his mouth. I'm afraid he's beginning to teeth. He's such a cute and happy baby. He loves diaper changing time and playing with his tummy time playset. We're having so much fun with him these days.
